As scheduled, the garage door installers came bright and early (probably to beat the heat, which is pretty bad). They had it all done with the new door completely installed in less than 3 hours. Great job, too! Before and after pictures are above.
Day 14, Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Well, it has been two weeks, to the day, since the tornado hit us. The State Farm adjuster finally showed up today. He says things are moving now so we should probably be able to move beyond the “mitigation” stage and into the actual repair stage.
Day 15, Thursday, July 2, 2026
Nothing was scheduled for today, but a worker came around to fix the door to the pole building well enough to be able to get equipment (mower and tractor) out. This is a temporary fix until we can repair the trusses, reframe the doorway, repair the roof, and install an overhead door.
